I have planned my day, every day, for 500 days.
Without. Missing. A. Single. Day.
It’s not hard to do. Sometimes I plan the night before. Sometimes I plan in the morning after a walk or going to the gym. Sometimes the morning is busy and I don’t plan the day until lunchtime.
Once, when I took my four kids on a four day road trip, I planned out each day of the trip before leaving, because I knew how easy it would be to miss a day while traveling.
Planning all four days of the trip took less than half an hour. And it was so easy to relax and enjoy the trip, knowing I could always look back at my plan to make sure I didn’t forget anything.
Trust me, with four kids, it’s easy to forget things.
You may have heard the clichĂ© “If you fail to plan, then you are planning to fail.”
I will have more thoughts on that soon, but for now accept my alternate formulation: “If you forget to plan, you are planning to forget.”
So just do it.
What’s stopping you?
