The One Thing That Will Change Your Life Forever

Guess what, I don’t know what it is.

I don’t even care what it is.

But you know, when you look within and humbly ask yourself. And answer honestly.

You know what one thing will change your life.

And I don’t.

But I do know some things about it.

I know that it scares you.

I know that it is daunting.

I know that you dream about doing. And that some of those dreams turn into nightmares.

I know it really will change your life.

I also know that it’s just a start. Because after you do it, there will be another “one thing” that can change your life.

But here’s the thing. Without a push, you’ll never do it.

You will never do the one thing that will change your life.

Unless …

You commit to do it. And you follow through

I do that by planning. But not just planning. Habitual planning.

By making it a habit, I have a single point in my day that centers and grounds me.

The moment when I quickly write down what I’ll be doing. It doesn’t take long. It comes, it goes, it’s gone. And then it comes again. It’s so simple it feels frivolous to write this out.

But it’s so profound, after doing it religiously for years.

Planning your day forces you to go meta, for a few moments. It forces you to think about your life, instead of letting it happen. It forces you to grapple with your desires, your dreams, your hopes, your goals. It takes you out of the moment to let you see the past, the present, and the future.

And at that point, with a clearer vision, you make a choice. You choose what you will do. You commit yourself to try. Your hopes and dreams, goals and desires, move out of the realm of possibility and into the realm of probability.

Making your day deliberate takes skill. It’s easy to fall down on the side of being too rigid and structured. It’s easy to fall on the side of being too relaxed and carefree. The proper tools, techniques, and systems can make all the difference.

And the first tool, the first technique, and the first system is simple: plan each day.

It’s not just simple, it’s also easy. It doesn’t need to take more than five minutes.

I can show you how, give you daily motivation and a reminder. I’m also building a tool to make it natural to do it the right way.
