I’ve got a lot of weaknesses.
I don’t finish things.
I don’t start things, if they seem difficult.
I assume things will be more difficult than they usually are.
I avoid taking on responsibilities.
I procrastinate stuff I know is important.
Sometimes, I don’t get enough sleep.
You can probably relate to some of these.
Or, you have weaknesses of your own.
Whatever system you put in place to get things done will be most effective if it compensates for your particular weaknesses.
It’s one reason there are so many different productivity systems out there. Everybody has strengths where they just don’t need help.
And weaknesses where they do.
So, beyond the most basic tools and habits, what works for you will look different from what works for someone else.
Which means that no one can tell you how to get things done.
But if you’ve got a system in place for learning from your own work, both the good and the bad, then you can learn and evolve the tools and habits you need.
There is so much more to how I get things done that what is (and will be) part of Cue.
It’s just the foundation.
